ETERNAL EYELINEREyeliner has been one of the most difficult conventional makeup applications of all time! Client’s major complaints are smudging and smearing on the face due to humidity or oily skin, poor vision, instability of hands and allergies. We love the look but just can’t seem to get the product to stay put. The process of permanent eyeliner involves implantation of microns of pigment (iron oxide) on the eyelid and in the lash bed. This process eliminates the problems associated with conventional topical makeup. The objective of micro pigmentation (permanent makeup) is to make the eye look bigger, eye lashes thicker darker and more dramatic. Creating eyeliner involves an individual consultation with the client taking in consideration the eye color, a dominating factor in choosing the pigment color to be applied. Dark colors such as warm dark brown, black brown, and black contrast well with dark brown eyes. Charcoal is a beautiful contrast with those who have blue or hazel eyes. Dark ash brown or medium brown pigment works well with green eyes. Physical characteristics of the skin around the eye are taken into consideration. The skin around mature clients eyes appears different on each individual unless the client has had a blepharoplasty (eye job) performed to remove excess skin. The surrounding skin determines the width of the eyeliner applied. For clients without excess skin there are many more options. Did you know there are approximately 150 eyelashes on the top lid and about 70 eyelashes on the lower lid? Lash enhancement looks great on everyone because it gives appearance of a darkened lash root and contrast to the color of the eye. Many male celebrities choose this service. Thin eyeliner with lash enhancement is placed in the lash bed and slightly above the upper lashes following the natural contour of the eye giving a subtle look. Medium to wide eyeliner is more dramatic by placing a wider concentration of color over the pupil you can achieve a wider dramatic eye along with a lash enhancement. Technique is something that is developed and learned over a period of time your technician should have an array of examples to share with you. I always suggest a consultation. What to expect: Topical anesthesia is used to numb the eyelids prior to the procedure some mild discomfort and swelling is common and you will look like you have been crying (the first day). Permanent makeup is always darker heavier and more exact for the first three days. The procedure will feel a little tight as it is healing and will look great by day seven.
